Visual and Auditory Perceptual Modes that Characterize Dyslexics
Wednesday 01st of December 2010 at 12:00pm
508-20 Evans Hall
I will describe how dyslexics’ visual and auditory perception is wider and more diffuse than that of typical readers. This suggests wider neural tuning in dyslexics. In addition I will describe how this processing relates to difficulties in reading. Strengthening the argument and more so helping dyslexics I will describe a regimen of practice that results in improved reading in dyslexics while narrowing perception.(video)
