get pymacs here: http://pymacs.progiciels-bpi.ca/archives/Pymacs-0.22.tar.gz
tar xvzf Pymacs-0.22.tar.gz cd Pymacs-0.22
now, because of some not-allowed characters, you have to remove the following two lines
# Fran?ois Pinard <pinard@iro.umontreal.ca>, 2001. #!/usr/bin/env python
from the files
Pymacs/__init__.py Pymacs/pymacs.py
now, you can compile and install:
python setup.py install
